Lehigh Acres Having A Rough Time Of It

Things are bad these days in Lehigh Acres. The town exemplifies what happens when booms give way to busts. The town went through a period of extreme over building which has now been replaced by a complete lack of demand.

Worse, there are a number of bad social effects going on now. Crime is up, drug use is rampant, and people who live in the area are feeling depressed about their futures.

There are so many foreclosed homes in the area without residents that marijuana kingpins have taken to growing weed in them.

Now people in the area are at risk of going hungry. Many of them are getting their meals in bread lines as unemployment is through the roof.

Local officials don’t expect any improvements until foreclosures stop.
